Mentoring

Beginning in September 2021, I began offering 1-to-1 mentoring to solopreneurs, artists, students, and anyone in the end-of-life and healing arts. Whether you are an end-of-life doula, coach, transition facilitator, advance care planner, grief counselor, therapist, artist, student, writer, or another therapeutic practitioner, I can mentor and coach you. This service will focus on

  • helping you negotiate uncertainty

  • listening to your story and making the most of it in your marketing

  • helping you market and promote your service

  • keeping you accountable and focused

  • encouraging your commitment and discipline to your service

  • supporting you through the ups and downs of running a business or completing a project

  • helping you create a positive work/life balance

  • listening to the emotional, ethical, and spiritual questions that arise in your work.

I have 50 years of experience working closely with people as a counsellor, an artist, a teacher, a storyteller and performer, a coach, facilitator, and mentor. You will have the benefit of my mentoring, counselling, teaching, and facilitation skills as well as years of experience working as a StoryCoach in both the community and corporate sectors. I've also worked as a musician, singer, and professional storyteller; believe me, I know what it's like to have to reinvent yourself. I can help you create the rapport and engaging story that best represents you and your service to others.

If you are interested in being mentored or knowing more, contact me. There's no obligation. Let's have a conversation first so see if we'd be a good fit. Information about the application process and fees will be forthcoming. Go to my Contact page and sign up to my mailing list or email me if you'd like to be notified when applications are open.

Testimonials

"I have always experienced it as difficult to creatively approach academic writing and finding my own voice in it. Being able to look at the research by exploring the narrative arc that I am wanting to tell has given me a much better idea of how to zoom in and out of the different elements of the story that I am wanting to tell. It has also encouraged me to be more confident in introducing my voice to the writing." ~ Chris, University graduate student, Glasgow
